The Centre has been set up by Bhubaneswar's Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), a unit of KIIT founded by Achyuta Samanta. The Centre, which has been named as Anadi Samanta Memorial Hospital after the late father of Achyuta Samanta, has telemedicine links with KIMS, which allows people of the area to avail expert consultation from eminent doctors of the super-speciality hospital at their doorstep.
